Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how StressScore collects, uses, and protects information in connection with your use of stresscheckup.com. Please read it carefully.
1. Overview
StressScore ('we,' 'us,' or 'our') is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you visit stresscheckup.com, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. Our core principle is straightforward: your assessment responses are never stored, transmitted, or associated with your identity.
2. Assessment Data
All assessment responses are processed entirely within your browser (client-side JavaScript). We do not transmit your answers to any server. We do not store your responses in any database. No account is required to use the tool, and no personal data is collected during the assessment. When you close or refresh the page, your results are gone. There is no record of your assessment on our systems.
3. Information We Do Collect
While we do not collect assessment data, we do collect standard technical information that all websites receive when you visit: your IP address (used to determine approximate geographic region for analytics), browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time spent on the site. This information is collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure and analytics services. It is used only in aggregate to understand how visitors use the site, and is never used to identify you personally.
4. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use StressScore in aggregate. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect data about your visit, including which pages you view, how long you stay, and how you navigate. This data is processed by Google and shared with us in aggregate, anonymised form. We cannot use it to identify you individually. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
5. Advertising (Google AdSense)
StressScore displays advertisements through Google AdSense to support the site's operation. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve advertisements that may be personalised based on your browsing activity across other websites. These cookies are set by Google LLC, not by StressScore, and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can manage your ad personalisation settings at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of interest-based advertising through the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org.
6. Cookies
We use cookies to support site functionality and analytics. Essential cookies are necessary for the site to work. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help us understand aggregate usage. Advertising cookies (Google AdSense) are set by Google for ad personalisation purposes. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for full details.
7. Contact Form
If you contact us via our contact form, we will receive your name, email address, and message content. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list, share your details with third parties, or retain your contact information beyond the period necessary to address your enquiry.
8. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. We share anonymised, aggregate data with analytics providers (Google Analytics) and advertising partners (Google AdSense) as described above. These services operate under their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. No personally identifiable information is shared with or sold to any third party.
9. Data Retention
Since we do not collect personal data through the assessment, there is typically nothing to retain or delete. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to address your enquiry. Server access logs are retained for a limited period as required for security and operational purposes.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under applicable privacy law — including the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you; the right to object to or restrict processing; and the right to data portability. Since we collect minimal personal data (primarily contact form submissions), there is typically little to request. To exercise any rights, contact us at hello@stresscheckup.com.
11. GDPR and UK Data Protection
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR, including the rights listed above. Our lawful basis for processing any personal data (contact form submissions) is legitimate interest (to respond to your enquiry). Analytics and advertising are based on your consent, which you can withdraw by adjusting your cookie settings or browser preferences.
12. Children's Privacy
StressScore is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
14. Contact
For privacy-related questions, concerns, or rights requests, please contact us at hello@stresscheckup.com or via our Contact page.
